Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are required to try on wedding gowns, bridesmaids and wedding party/ tuxedo-suit rentals so that we can give each bride/groom and/or party/Prom our undivided attention. We try our best to accommodate same day appointments, but to make sure that a fitting room and consultant are free,
schedule your appoinrment through this web site or  please call ahead.

How long are appointments?
We schedule our bridal appointments for 1-1.25 hours depending on if it your first time in our shop or you are revisiting.  We schedule 1 hour appointments for bridesmaids and 1/2 hour for men's formalwear. Since we are a smaller shop and we want to provide you and all of our customers with the best possible service so it is important your appointment not exceed the time you are given. Remember, you can always make a follow up appointment.

Can we take pictures?
Of course! We are a fan of anything that makes your wedding gown and bridesmaid shopping experience easier, so feel free to bring your laptop and Skype with Mom if she lives out of town too! We do offer WiFi as well, if you need to Face Time on your IPad instead.

How many people can I bring with me to my appointment?
For bridal gown appointments, we generally have seating for 2-4 people per bride. If your party will be larger than 2 people, please let us know when you to set up your appointment. For bridesmaid appointments, we recommend bringing in as many of your maids as possible. This way it is easier the get the gowns selected and order placed. We are not a large shop and often see groups at the same time. We want everyone to have the best possible experience.

Are you handicap accessible and/or stroller/child friendly?
Our shop is located in a beautiful late 1800's brick home. Unfortunately, back in the day, homes were built with many smaller rooms...easier to heat but harder to maneuver. Doors and doorways are original so they are tight. In addition, some of our collections are on our second floor. Keeping this in mind, if you or someone in your party is unable to use the stairs, we would recommend to you that you make a weekday appointment so we can help you on our first floor and provide you with the best possible service. We do not recommend bringing young children to appointments (and we really do love toddlers). We are not baby proof! There are pins, mirrors, stairs, fixtures and other things that they can get into and hurt themselves.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?
You know you can't wait to put on those Sexy Spanx! We highly recommend a garment that shapes you the way you want on your wedding day. Don't forget to wear neutral undies. Bring a heel height that you anticipate wearing on your big day. You should also be open to different styles and silhouettes. We can't tell you how many times we've heard "this is completely different than I pictured, but I LOVE it!". If you found pictures of gowns or bridesmaid dresses you like, email them to us prior to your appointment so we have an idea if what you like.

What should I do if I'm running late?
Please call us to let us know how late you will be. Depending on our schedule, we may be able to extend your appointment time. However during peak appointment times (weekend and evening slots,) we may have to reschedule you. Keep us in the loop and we will do out best to accommodate; we get it- life happens.

When should I order?
For your wedding gown, the best case scenario is that you order at least 9-12 months before your wedding date. You should plan on it taking at least 4-6 months for your wedding gown to be made, and you will need a little time for alterations as well. For bridesmaids, 6-9 months before the wedding date. Bridesmaids can take up to 4 months to arrive. The dresses will then need to be sent or picked up by your girls for them to have ample time for alterations.

Don't have that much time?

We have some fabulous "young retired" sale wedding gowns and last minute gowns available in stock for you to purchase and take home with you the same day! What sizes do you carry in your collections?
The majority of our wedding gowns are in sizes 8, 10, and 12. We do however have a few sizes 6 and 14. If the gowns are too big or too small, we do have ways to help you see how they will fit. We have all kinds of tricks up our sleeves. Our bridesmaid collection is sampled in size 6-16. Our men's formalwear jacket collections are sampled in size 40.

Do I need to leave a deposit to have my wedding gown ordered?
Yes, we require a 60% deposit for wedding gowns and the remaining balance is due within two weeks of when the dress arrives to us. If you purchase one of our "young retired" sale gowns, they need to be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Do I need to leave a deposit to have my bridesmaid gown ordered?
Since we require all bridesmaid dresses be shipped or picked up within two weeks upon the arrival of the dress, bridesmaid dresses, we require full payment at the time of ordering. There is also a $15 s/h fee that will added to the cost of the gown. This is per gown.

A
re the dresses custom made?
The dresses are not made to your exact measurements. You choose the color and the style that you would like the dress to be made in, and then you choose a size bracket based on bust, waist and hip. We can help you determine by taking measurements and then referring to the designer's size chart. Since everyone's body is different, you should expect that alterations will still be needed upon receiving your dress.

Are alterations included in the wedding gown price?
Since we come in various sizes, shapes and heights, the customization and/or alterations of a wedding gown should be expected but are not included. Customization/alterations is an art that unfortunately is not free!

Do you offer alterations at your  location?
Page Six does does not have a seamstress on staff. However, Alterations by Sam, has her studio in Page Six and comes highly recommended. You schedule your fittings directly with Samantha. She can be reached at 267-382-9256 or samsotos.sewing@gmail.com

When will the tuxedos/suits arrive for my wedding?
Generally, most of the tuxedos/suits will arrive by Wednesday the week of your wedding. Everyone will receive an email as well as a text once they arrive. They should give us a ring or send a email or book the appointment via our website as when they would like to try it on pick it up. We prefer not doing group pick up. One or two at a time works best.

Can I pick up my tuxedo the day of the wedding?
Please no! While we do take measurements and try on sizing pieces, but with all the different cuts, it is still possible that something may not fit quite right and we will have to get a new piece. The tuxes come from Scranton so that is not an issue but we need the time to make it happen. It is recommended that tuxedos be tried on by Thursday so that we can get a new size on Friday if necessary. If the wedding is on Friday, trying on by Wednesday is even better. If someone is out of town and won't be in by then to try on, please let us know ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly.
